Highland swimmers opened their first meet of the year with impressive efforts. The girls captured first place in seven of 12 events, took second place in five of 12, and took third place in six of 12 events. The girls finished the meet with a 97 – 89 victory against a powerful Campo Verde squad.

The girls are situated to have their best season ever. They are positioned to break all three relay records and three individual records. The girls most likely to set those new marks are Yetter, Catchpole, Roten and Kahlil.

The boys swam hard lead by captains Johnston, Earls, and Oolman.  Taking two first place finishes, six second place finishes, and six third place finishes the boys lost to the Campo Verde team 67 – 119.  All of the boys improved on their times and are looking forward to dropping more time as they improve.

The next meet is Thursday, September 6 at home against Desert Ridge. See you there.
