Highland came out strong offensively Friday afternoon to beat Desert Ridge 13-3 in 6 innings.

The Hawks totaled 13 hits as a team, with every player who received an AB getting at least 1 hit. The biggest offensive stars of the day, however, were Kam Cullimore, Chris Coyer, and Cooper Brown.

Kam went 2-4 with 2 R, 1 2B, and 3 RBI, he was also hit by a pitch. Chris went 3-3 with 1 R, 2 2B’s, and 2 RBI, he was also hit by a pitch. Cooper went 2-4 with 1 R, 1 3B, and 2 RBI.

Clayton Turley got the start on the mound and carried the Hawks through 4 1/3 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks, and adding 2 strikeouts.

Mason Greenman finished the game off strong, allowing only 1 runner to reach base, on an error, striking out 2 in his 1 2/3 innings.

The Hawks hope to repeat this performance when they take on Desert Ridge Tuesday 4/10.
